Simulation

The Computing Division supports simulation activities relevant to current and future Fermilab projects, by providing expertise in detector and physics modeling tools.
Advanced Accelerator Simulation
The SciDAC accelerator modeling project is national research and development effort whose primary objective is to establish a comprehensive terascale simulation environment needed to solve the most challenging problems in 21st century accelerator science and technology.
Geant4
Geant4 is a toolkit for the simulation of the passage of particles through matter. Its application areas include high energy physics and nuclear experiments, medical, accelerator and space physics studies.
HepMC
HepMC is an object oriented event record for use with HEP Monte Carlo generators.
HepPDT
HepPDT provides a container for the fixed data about each particle type. In other words, it provides the data that can be found in the Review of Particle Properties.
Patriot
Patriot is a database of events generated by CompHEP and AlpGen. There is also a series of related informal workshops.
RunII Monte Carlo Generator Support
Support for various Monte Carlo generators and related products (including Pythia, Herwig, and QQ).
StdHep
StdHep provides a common output format for Monte Carlo events.
TeV4LHC
The purpose of these workshops was to bring together the Tevatron and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experimental groups and the theoretical community to make the best possible use of data and experience from the Tevatron in preparing for the LHC experimental program.

Old Simulation Projects
Physics Projects
Work for neutrino factory and muon collider.
MCFast
MCFast is a fast tracking simulation developed by the simulation group in the Fermilab Computer Division. This product is no longer being developed.
