Abstract:
An I/O system based on the XDR protocol from the RPC software has been
written to exchange Physics data files across various machines.
direct access capabilities have been implemented, such as the
automatic searches for specific triggers. This note is a brief
user's guide and reference manual.
Version 2.0: Full implementation of direct access stream and
sequential streams. Specific structure, such as STDHEP or TRACK_OFFLINE
have been moved to another directory of McFast, so that MCFIO becomes
a stand-alone package. Disk-based NTuples are the outstanding new feature
for this version.
